STIX Custom Reports

STIX is a writers and analyst co-op that assists our associates in the production, proofing, marketing, and fulfillment. All of our associates are experienced analysts with many reports or custom studies under our belts.

STIX uses a combination of primary and secondary research methods as needed. Our methodology relies on an experienced team, a structured research technique, and access to proprietary market modeling approaches and algorithms.

EXPERIENCED RESEARCH TEAM

The methodology to be used in this project will be developed by an experienced team with more than fifty years of experience in comprehensive market/technology/industry analysis in a variety of areas.

Each team member has an extensive academic background; broad industry experience; continuous involvement in the forefront of technology developments through hands-on work, professional and technical organizations; and continuous contacts with key multi-national companies that are in the forefront of bringing new products to market.

This core team also has access to a network of subject matter experts (SMEs) in industry, government, and academia. These SMEs will be used to help validate project scope, as content sources, and to validate deliverable assumptions.

STRUCTURED RESEARCH TECHNIQUE

Our research approach is based on the following structured techniques.

  • Research database
  • Literature searches
  • Focused interviews
  • Consultation with SMEs
  • Custom analysis

Our proposed team has access to a diverse library of publications that can be used as “seeds” to begin deliverable preparation. All information will be sourced and referenced.   This foundation is only the beginning, however.

Our team will complete a comprehensive literature search that utilizes both on-line and also written content sources. We have access to proprietary and limited distribution content sources not generally available to many researchers. The literature search will include a media search, a technical literature search, a very through patent search and analysis, a Material Safety Data Sheet analysis, a competitor marketing collateral analysis, a legislative, and an analysis of companies and organizations involved.

At the same time, unique market research will be performed using email, written, and telephone queries and surveys. These will go out to industry experts, government SMEs, companies and organizations, and potential users or customers. We will also investigate the value of attending one or more conferences or trade shows. These structured research techniques have been developed and improved over two decades and represent one of the best-managed in the market research industry.

PROPRIETARY MARKET MODELING APPROACH AND ALGORITHMS

Our team has developed a structured, reproducible approach to defining and establishing past, current, and predicted market data. Common metrics include units, value, price per unit, number of users, consumption by type of user, etc.

We realized early on that many market assessments are so vaguely defined that they are essentially useless for planning purposes (although they often sound good in marketing literature). Our approach emphasizes providing data that can be used to make strategic or (in some cases) strategic marketing and production decisions.

This approach is based on selectively weighting the significance of important factors, determining whether relevant factors will increase or decrease in significance with time, and (as is often necessary) developing several scenarios to describe market evolution under different possible economic and demographic circumstances.

This approach is particularly useful when fundamental economic changes are underway. It specifically avoids faulty market predictions based on "if this continues" forecasting tools.
